Meet PlaySavvy

Why we're a mom's best friend.

AOL PlaySavvy gives parents the insider information they need to make smart choices about video games for their families.

With video game systems in a vast majority of households, and online games a click of the mouse away on any computer, it's easy to be overwhelmed just trying to figure out what these games are about, to say nothing of exposure to excess violence, inappropriate content and the dangers of interacting with strangers online.

PlaySavvy is here to help, offering the lowdown on video game ratings, game consoles, online gaming and even the best educational games.

Daily updates will include news, features and reviews, so check back often. We'll also answer your questions about electronic entertainment with our staff of industry experts and our exclusive PlaySavvy Panel of Moms -- a unique collection of parents from every walk of life, from teachers to high-profile working mothers from the video games business.

With the help of our partners at Common Sense Media and AOL's Safety Clicks and Parent Dish, PlaySavvy delivers the most comprehensive how-to guide for the world's fastest-growing entertainment medium.

We invite you to share your questions, concerns and stories by contacting us thought the "Talk To Us" tab at the top of every page, posting comments on individual articles, or e-mailing me directly.

Sincerely,

Libe M. Goad

my son has been wanting one, so he can play all kinds of games and be able to be active while doing it. plus our whole family can play this together. and it will be able to occupy him and all of us and also be able to learn new things for school for him to. we can all be active together especially when we cant go outside to play. it will show him sports he can practice for the real games outside of the house. i thank you for this opportunity to leave a comment for a chance to win a wii.

What planet are these people from? In the original game of life you were able to choose two pink "pins"or two blue "pins" and get married, have kids, and drive your little car around the board. Where were these shouters then? I'd have to guess that they were kids playing the game just like everyone else.

You people are nuts. Most of the games rated M or T are not even bad. Hey *******S maybe you should be smarter and rent the game and play it yourself before deciding and buying. Go smoke WEED!!
