Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll

Sega's fun monkey in a bubble puzzler series is getting a Wii Fit challenge early next year.

We do love AiAi, the cute little bubble-bound monkey from Sega's colorful puzzle game, Super Monkey Ball. Yet, we haven't seen a lot of him lately. Now we know why, Sega's announced AiAi's next Wii adventure as Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll, a game that incorporates the Wii Balance Board into gameplay.

Players will use shift their weight from side to side, thus controlling the ball that AiAi inhabits. Undoubtedly, kids will love the slight touch of vertigo that's bound to come from the game. Of course, those without a board can still enjoy the game with Wii Remote and Nunchuk controls too.

For fans of the beloved series, Step & Roll adds a new co-op mode that's enabled during the single player portion of the game or up to four players can compete in mini games like Seesaw Ball, Monkey Bowling and Monkey Race.

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll is set to release for Wii in "Early 2010."
